On the heels of their 2011 full length album, the harmony-filled folk record Yearling, The Parson Red Heads are pleased to announce the release of a brand new EP entitled Murmurations (Timber Carnival Records). This EP contains 6 never-before-heard songs by the band, all tracked during the Yearling sessions (produced by Raymond Richards, mixed and finished by Chris Stamey). One of the most dynamic collection of songs the band has ever put together, this record ranges from Byrdsian, string-laden ballads (“Another Chance”), stark acoustic story-songs (“Jenny”), to a 7 ½ minute, three movement closing epic (“Here It Comes Again”). Murmurations adds yet another brand new, beautiful dimension to the Parson’s ever-growing catalog of material.
